JUDGE PETER JACKSON QC
Appointed in 2010 after his Knighthood, Peter Jackson cut his teeth in family law for many years by working for the OFFICIAL SOLICITOR in numerous cases as 'the childrens advocate', where child residence/access cases were in dispute between the parents-and the Official Solicitor was brough in to act on the kids behalf. (This sort of representation is now given under the name of CAFCASS legal).
Despite his claimed role of 'childrens advocate', not only did JACKSON work against the children (and of course the father) in the HARRIS case over a number of years, (publically funded of course) he also worked against the father and children on each occasion he acted as the OFFICIAL SOLICITOR's mouthpiece in all the child access/residence dispute cases he was brought into. Many fathers (including Mark Harris) over the years complained to the BAR COUNSEL that 'JACKO' misled various family courts when acting as the childrens advocate. Indeed, between 1998 and 2009. PETER JACKSON had more complaints made about him for misleading courts than any other Barrister in the UK. (fathers 4 justice survey, 2007)
Mark Harris, author of FAMILY COURT HELL, once confronted Jackson from the witness box (before a Mr Justice KIRKWOOD) about the string of complaints made against him to the Bar Counsel for misleading various (family) courts over the years. JACKSON, after going bright red and finding no answer to the question, promptly sat down and had no further questions for the father-and did not appear in the HARRIS case ever again.
In the Harris case, PETER JACKSON, while acting under the pretense of 'the childrens advocate', tried to hide crucial Poilce evidence that the mother had been caught making multiple false allegations of harassment to them against the father-and their warning of arrest to her if she did it again.
*(Harris was prevented from seeing his children for years due to the mother claiming that he harassed her, which the OFFICIAL SOLICITOR backed-despite taking clear instructions from the three girls they wanted to see their Dad no matter what. The Official Solicitor back then described himself as "on the horns of a dilemma, as he represented three children who wanted to see their father...". But what dilemma? The instructions were clear. Advocates are supposed to only present their best case on behalf of their clients (in his case the children) not work in support of other parties. JUDGES are suppose to hear those cases presented on behalf of the parties (mum, dad, children) and decide outcomes. But no, JACKSON worked AGAINST the children and their instructions to support the mother [who had her own Barrister]. Clearly, the Police evidence that the harassment claims were indeed false was crucial in getting contact with the children back)
COMBINED WITH THE DISHONEST DR HAMISH CAMERON, THEY MADE A PRETTY FORMIDABLE (AND CORRUPT) PAIRING IN PREVENTING CHILDREN AND DADS SEEING EACH OTHER.
So fathers, if you get the creature PETER JACKSON QC appointed as Judge in your children case, at least you will know his history and what to expect.
